Mergui Archipelago


Located in the southern part of Myanmar, Mergui Archipelago is a truly amazing paradise with over 800 deserted islands and less known to the outside world. Its beauty underwater and over water make it a remarkable place, and the islands and surrounding seas are thriving with an amazing diversity of flora and fauna and marine life. One of the distinct of ethnic groups “Moken people” (Sea Nomad or Salone people) dwells in the area and some resided on some islands. The Mergui Archipelago remains one of the planet’s most un-spoilt destinations.
